We at Dr.
Wm. Mennies School put great emphasis on developing
good character traits. We follow a Code of Conduct which
emphasizes caring, respect and responsibility. We
have our
Code of Conduct prominently displayed in our classroom.
We utilize modeling and role-play to help master the six
traits of character which include: trustworthiness, responsibility,
caring, respect, fairness and citizenship. Each month
we will concentrate on a quote which correlates with one of
the character traits. We read aloud stories which show examples
of these traits. Students demonstrating these qualities
are recognized in our Character Hall of Fame.
