Each Friday we write a letter to our family telling them about our week in
school. We take time to brainstorm about our week together on the board. We then review the proper form of a friendly letter and then write to our
family. This letter goes home in a special folder. Parents,
grandparents, siblings, are asked to read about our week in school and
write back to us. They should keep our letter in the folder and add
theirs to the front. At the end of the school year there will be a
wonderful portfolio of our progression in our writing skills as well as
the many different experiences we shared throughout the school year.
